The Silver Cross POP stroller

What a deal on Shnoop today. I just ordered the Silver Cross POP stroller which is popular with celebrities for $50! Yes, $50! $150 off. Craziness. Toddler stroller...check. :)

Vera Bradley Diaper Bag

Yay, the Vera Bradley diaper bag I ordered on eBay is here! It's so so pretty. I can't wait to use it. Babe, you're gonna have to get a bag of your own. I don't think you'll want to use this one. LOL

Week 28 Dr. Visit

I went for my glucose test yesterday and it was not fun. I had the fruit punch flavored drink and had to try my hardest not to bring it back up. Especially since you have to drink it within 10 min. It was pretty gross. So on top of tasting terrible I had the shakes for the next hour or so from the sugar. Not fun. Dr. said it was normal to feel that way. It went away eventually.

Everything looks good so far, but dr. told me to slow down on my weight gain. All I should be gaining now is baby weight so back to eating healthy. Yes I have been eating cookies and ice cream. It's so hard not to LOL...but, that's done and over with. I only have 12 more weeks to go! I can't believe it. I have to start baby proofing the house and start on the nursery. Oh yeah, and she said my belly is going to get A LOT bigger than it is now. I'll have to take another belly pic so you can see how much bigger he's gotten already.

Caught a kick on video!

It's not a big one, but you can see him kick at 10 seconds in the video (top right corner). You're looking at my belly from my view looking down. :)

Every time I try and catch him in action, he stops. Sneaky sneaky. LOL

Naming Baby

So my husband and I are going back and forth on names and we still can't decide. Maybe you can help us. If you have a suggestion for our little boy's name, please leave it as a comment. I'm interested to see what you come up with. More than one name is welcome :)

Week 26

I can’t believe how time is flying!

Let your spouse put an ear to your belly -- he might be able to pick up baby's heartbeat (no stethoscope required). Inside the womb, the formation of tiny capillaries is giving baby a healthy pink glow. Baby's also soaking up your antibodies, getting the immune system ready for life outside the womb. Eyes are forming, and baby will soon perfect the blink -- perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes.

He is kicking so much now. I sit here and just watch my belly jump around. It’s funny.

Week 24 Ultrasound

Here's our little boy at 24 weeks. Look at that little face :) He's getting so big so fast. I have to take my monthly belly pic. Maybe tonight.

He's been kicking so much more now. I'm going to try and video his kicks. We'll see if I can get some tonight.

Starting my 6th month today!  I can’t believe how time is flying by so fast.  Before we know it you’ll be here little man!  We can’t wait to meet you.

Best Day!

So our UPS guy comes today and has a box. He looks at me and says "I think these are for you". Me? It's was box of flowers. I was like who is gonna send me flowers? I open the box and the card reads:

"Babe, thanks for all that you are doing for me while I'm away. I wish I could be there with you and I can't wait to come home and see you and our son. I love you so much. Muah! -Love, Me”

I'm so so happy! You made my day babe! As I said to you today...you made my heart flutter. I love you and miss you so much!

Week 22

So now we're closer to the finish line :) From now until week 24 our little boy is the size of a papaya. LOL

A little papaya...how cute :)

Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop. --courtesy of thebump.com

Our son (wow, that sounds weird..our son) has been moving around. I'll have to start jotting down what time of the day he moves around the most. I guess I'll just post it on here every time I feel some movements. I've noticed that it's mostly in the late afternoon and night. My belly is getting bigger every day. I've seen some pictures of women that are as far along as I am and they are much bigger...but everyone carries differently I guess. I have a small frame so maybe that's why. Dunno. I've been playing music for him and reading him books at night. Our favorite right now is Good Night Moon...a classic. :) I have classical cds that I play along with a new one that I just bought made by Parenting magazine. It's cute. It has all the nursery rhymes on it. I play the nursery rhymes in the car on my way to work and the lullabies on my way home. He gets a little of both.

I've been doing some research on the benefits of classical music to babies. Studies have shown that playing classical music won't make your baby smarter. It may soothe your infant, but "the presence or absence of classical music did not significantly affect student performance on tests." - July issue of Psychological Science

So, I've been playing a little bit of everything for our little boy. Some classical, lullabies and nursery rhymes...oh and lets not forget today's top 40 LOL.

Week 21

From www.3dpregnancy.com

By now your baby looks like a mini-version of what she'll look like when she's born. All his facial features are formed and hair is growing on his head. He’s even acting like a baby and will occasionally suck his thumb or yawn. Aww ...

Baby's heartbeat is getting stronger and can be heard using a good old-fashioned stethoscope.

Frame pictures from a favorite artistic gift wrap, children's book or wall calendar (skip your husband's Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition). Good idea

Week 20 Belly Pic

Here is my 20 week belly pic. I can't believe how big it's getting :)

Our little boy is moving around a lot. I can feel it, but they are still not strong enough for someone else to feel them. A few more weeks I guess.

Week 20 Ultrasound

Here is our little boy at 20 weeks.

...and here's his peepee :)

Ultrasound went well.  Technician said everything looked normal.  This week's scan was an anatomy scan.  She took measurements to make sure he's growing properly...and it is.  She also said he's weighing in at about a pound now.  :)

Week 20

As big as a cantaloupe and as long as a banana?! Wow, I can’t believe it. He’s been kicking away usually around the same time every day. He moves around the most between 5-7pm. I wonder why. I’m going to dinner with my girlfriends tomorrow…maybe they’ll be able to feel him!

Baby's digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid, digestive secretion and dead cells), which will fill the first diaper after birth. And, speaking of the diaper situation... baby's genitals are now fully formed!

Baby Sling

Ooh, my baby sling is on its way.  I can’t wait to see what it feels like.  I ordered a black sling from http://www.mammasmilk.com

You’ve made a smart choice! Did you know that carrying your baby in a baby sling has been scientifically proven to reduce baby's crying by 51%. Our baby slings will help you carry your baby in a natural fetal position, soothed by your heartbeat, movement, and familiar scent.

He Kicked!

I'm on the bus on my way home from work and I felt our little boy moving around so I put my hand on my belly and he kicked my hand! I can't believe I felt an actual kick! What an amazing and strange feeling. It's hard to explain. It feels kind of like a muscle spasm. I guess that's the closest I can get to it. A strong muscle spasm.

Keep kickin me little man! :)

Week 19

Our little boy is the size of a mango this week! J

Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo, oil and dead skin cells (yum), now coats baby's skin, shielding it from the amniotic fluid. (Picture yourself after a nine-month bath, and the need for protection makes sense.) You might actually get to see the vernix at birth, especially if baby is premature.

Someone asked me if I wanted a seat on the train today. J I was wondering when that was going to happen. I guess I’m really starting to look pregnant. Boy, time is flying.

I’ve been having a hard time sleeping, but I’m hoping that’ll pass soon. I doubt it since I’m just going to get bigger and more uncomfortable. I feel like I haven’t slept in weeks. My sinuses are a mess as well. Oh joy. LOL I’ll take this on and more any day for the feeling of a little one growing inside me.

Stay tuned for the Week 20 belly pic next week! Next week is also my 20 week ultrasound.

Week 18

Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements soon.

I'm definitely feeling some movement in there.  Especially in the morning around 9-10am, then mid afternoon.  I can't wait till I feel a kick. :)

If it’s getting difficult to breathe, you can thank your not-so-small belly for squishing your lungs—which will be more and more cramped for space as the pregnancy Keep in mind that as you grow (and grow and grow) in size you produce more blood (for both of you), which lowers your blood pressure. So standing up quickly and/or occasional fast movements may cause slight dizziness or lightheadedness progresses.

So true. My belly button should be popping soon, but hasn't yet.

Week 16 Belly Pic

It's a Boy!

Here is our little boy at 16 weeks. Eric and I are so thrilled. He was moving around so much in there. I haven't felt any kicks yet, but I'm sure I will in a few weeks.

Week 17

Wow, baby is really growing!  I have a video of our last sonogram.  I'm going to try and upload it tonight.

Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints.

Second Tri Dr. Appt

Here is Baby W at 16 weeks.  I saw him/her moving around on the screen.  It was so cute.  I think I felt a little movement this morning.  It's hard to tell.  Yesterday was the Spina Bifida test.  The nurse just took some blood, checked my blood pressure and then the doctor came in to ask me if I had any questions.  I asked her about exercising and she said it was fine as long it wasn't high impact.  I also asked her about the hospital and she let me know which hospital I was delivering at.  In a few months I have to take a tour of the hospital.  That was about it.  It was a very quick appointment.

Until Saturday!

Week 16

I can't believe how big out baby is getting.  My belly is definitely growing.  People are starting to notice.

I've started playing music for the baby. I bought some Baby Einstein cds.  They're really cute.  I play 10 min of music a day and at night I read a story.  I have special fetal speakers that I place on my belly and there's a mic that I attach when I read.

Watch what you say... tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean the little one can now pick up your voice. Eyebrows, lashes and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming. And, if you're interested, an ultrasound might be able to determine gender.

This Saturday we're going to View a Miracle for gender determination.  Hopefully baby cooperates and we can find out what we're having.  I know, why don't I just wait the extra month right?  Well, I thought this would be a cute way to have Eric's family involved.  The family can come with me and watch the ultrasound on a large screen in the waiting room.  I can also send pictures to Eric.  I can't wait to find out.  A lot of people I've spoken to say they either didn't want to know or don't want to know what they're having.  That's becoming more and more common.  I just don't want everything gender neutral you know.

Few more days!

Someone noticed!

Someone noticed that I was pregnant today! There is this nice woman who works in the Port Authority terminal where I wait for my bus. I see her every day and I say hi. Today she said hi and then walked over to me and said softly, "You're not having a baby are you?". I said yes and she got so excited. I started to blush. Haha. I told her she was the first person to notice. We'll see who's next. :)

It was really nice to have someone finally notice.

OMG! I think I felt the baby move!

I think that's what it was.  I'm not sure.  I know what gas feels like, and this was not it.  It was right where the baby is and it was a fluttering feeling.  I'm 15 weeks so I looked up to see if it's too early to feel something...it's not!  OMG, so crazy that there's a little one moving around in there.  :)

Week 15

Wow, our baby is the size of an orange now!  I can't believe how big he/she is getting.

Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now out measure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements.

Less than two weeks and hopefully we'll find out if we're having a boy or girl!

I'll take another belly pic at my 4 month (16 week) mark.

Dear Mother

This is a very sweet poem that someone posted on The Bump today.

~Dear Mother~

Did you ever think, dear Mother,

As the seeds of me you sowed,

As you breathed new life inside of me

And slowly watched me grow,

In all your dreams about me

When you planned me out so well,

When you couldn't wait to have me there

Inside your heart to dwell,

Did you ever think that maybe,

I was planning for you, too,

And choosing for my very own

A mother just like you?

A mother who smelled sweet and who

had hands so creamy white,

A tender, loving creature

Who would soothe me in the night?

Did you ever think in all those days

While you were coming due,

That as you planned a life for me

I sought a life with you?

And now as I lay in your arms,

I wonder if you knew

While you were busy making me,

I was choosing you!

Week 14...Second Trimester!

Baby W is a lemon now!  Getting bigger and bigger every day.  :)

Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.

What a day

I went to Destination Maternity during lunch because I need some new clothes for work. I get on line and the registers aren't working. I'm waititng and waiting and they ask everyone on line if they would like to come back later. They would put our clothes on hold for us. A few women said they would wait since they weren't able to come back later, but not me. I said I would come back.

So Ieft work a little early so that I would have enough time to go to the store and then make my train. Of course I get to the store and my clothes are no where to be found. The sales girl asks me what I had picked out. What did she want me to do? Describe every piece of clothing to her? Get outta here. I was so annoyed at that point. I said, forget it...I'll get them myself. I go find all the clothes I had ALREADY picked out during lunch and headed over to the register. All of my items get rung up and I hand her my card. Now their credit card machine isn't working. Are you kidding me!!!! Ahhhhh!! You can't do this to a pregnant woman. I waited AGAIN and finally got my receipt only to jump on the subway and sit next to a woman chewing about 10 pieces of gum in my ear.

I can't wait to get home.

Week 13 Belly Pic

Here it is. :)
I can't believe my belly is growing so fast. I guess maybe because I didn't have one to begin with I'm really noticing it.
The tests I took at my first OB visit were for a complete blood count (CBC), Blood type and Rh factor, Rubella titer, HIV, Hepatitis B screening, Syphilis, complete urinalysis and Cystic Fibrosis.
What I did at my last appointment was an NT Scan and a Finger Prick test. The NT Scan along with the Finger Prick test helps assess our baby's risk of having Down syndrome and some other chromosomal abnormalities as well as major congenital heart problems. The NT test uses ultrasound to measure the clear (translucent) space in the tissue at the back of our developing baby's neck. Babies with abnormalities tend to accumulate more fluid at the back of their neck during the first trimester, causing this clear space to be larger than average.
My doctor's office called. All the tests I've taken so far for birth defects and down syndrome have come back normal! That's great news! My next visit is on October 1st and they will do a Spina Bifida test.

Week 13

Wow, baby is the size of a PEACH this week!  :)

Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.)

I'm getting my energy back and feel normal again.  I actually called in to my doctor's office to get a different prenatal vitamin because the one I'm currently taking is making me sick.  We'll see how I do with this one.

Week 12

Yay, we're at week 12!  Here is our ultrasound picture.  Yesterday's appointment was much quicker than my initial appointment.  All I had done was the ultrasound, blood pressure and finger stick test (the nurse pricks your finger with a needle to draw a small amount of blood).

Isn't our baby so cute?!  I love him/her so much already.  It's crazy how you can fall in love with someone so quickly.  I can't wait to have you in my arms.

I love you.

No more prune...

Ooh, ok.  I just read in Week by Week that Baby W is the size of a small plum.  :)

Much better.

Week 10

With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will too.)

A prune? The Bump couldn't come up with anything better than a prune?

Week 9

Looks like this week Baby W is now a fetus.  I have a Doppler that I'm going to bring to TX with me when I see my husband so he can hear the heartbeat since he will not be able to attend doctor appointments with me.  Seems like the basic physical structures are in place and baby is starting to look like a baby!

Baby has begun movement - While still too small for you to feel, your little one is wriggling, shifting, and dancing already! Makes you almost wish for a window to peek in whenever you want!

Most joints are formed now - and trust that your little one is practicing bending and flexing.

Fetus will curve its fingers around an object placed in the palm of its hand - This is amazing to see! At only nine weeks, if you happen to have an ultrasound, you may observe your infant fascinated by everything he or she can lay their fingers on (mainly other fingers, toes, ears and nose!

Fingerprints are already evident in the skin.

My belly is growing!  I can't zip up my pants.

Ultrasound in 3 more weeks!

First Doctor Appointment

Today is my first doctor appointment.  I'm excited and nervous.  I have so many questions to ask.  From what I read this is going to be a long visit due to testing and questions.

Some questions I'm going to ask are:

- Can I fly? I'm going to see my husband. (even though I bought the tickets already)

- What foods should I avoid? What fruits should I avoid? I heard something about pineapple.

- Sometimes I don't feel pregnant. Should I be concerned?

- Which hospitals are you affiliated with? Which one do you think is better for maternity?

- Can I video tape my visits for my husband overseas?

- How frequent are my visits?

- When will sonograms be done?

- Can I exercise?

My next post will be after my appointment. :)

Week 8

According to The Bump:

"Your baby is growing like mad, putting on about a millimeter every day and continuing to straighten out in the trunk. Though you can't feel it yet, baby is moving those little arms, legs and (now only slightly) webbed fingers and toes like crazy."

I'm tired alllll the time now.

Monday, July 28, 2008

Week 7

According to The Bump:

Baby
W is the size of a blueberry!

"Baby's brain -- both hemispheres! -- is growing fast, generating about 100 new cells every minute. Arms and legs are emerging as joints start to form, and a permanent set of kidneys (baby's third!) is now in place."

Nausea has set in as an all day thing now and my boobs are killing me! LOL

Uggg...

I ate dinner last night and then had a Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich.  Yum...well not really cause 5 minutes later I was in the bathroom bringing it all back up.  It was terrible.  So bad, that all the little blood vessels around my eyes broke.  Great.  This better not be a regular thing.  Calm down baby!  Please!  :)

Week 6

So it looks like we're in week 6 and our baby is the size of a sweet pea. I guess I should start posting my belly pics. I have to download them. I'm starting to feel a bit more nauseous. It started yesterday. We were on our way down to the shore and in the car I felt like I was hung over. Gross.
This week our baby is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. Those little hands and feet- still webbed like paddles- might wiggle by week's end, the heart is beating (almost twice as fast as mine), and blood is starting to circulate.
Crazy!

Morning sickness

I though it was supposed to be morning sickness, not afternoon
sickness. Ugg. Not cool! Eww, and I just saw a picture of sausage
on the turnpike. Thanks. Make my stomach turn even more.

Belli Oil

I also just ordered Elasticity Belly Oil by Belli to prevent stretch marks.  It was a little pricey, but well worth it if it works.  I read a lot of reviews online and it works.  Some women swear by it.  Right now I'm using Palmer's Cocoa Butter for Stretch Marks and I'll use that until I get my Belli Oil.

Reviews:

I started using this Belli oil early in pregnancy. I am now ready to deliver with NO stretch marks on my tummy. The ONLY place I developed any stretch marks was on my breasts..........also the only place I didn't rub the oil! It smells very soothing as well. It's a perfect gift for a pregnant friend!

I started using this oil at about 4 weeks pregnant (early I know) and I am now at the start of my 6th month... no stretch marks yet. I think it is still early to tell, but even so the oil is fantastic. I have two other popular creams, and this is the only one that really makes my stomach feel soft and ready to stretch. I think it's worth the price. Also, I just ordered a new bottle after almost 6 months!! It really lasts.

I'm prone to stretch marks. I used this oil on my belly throughout my pregnancy, but not on my chest. The ONLY place I got stretch marks was my chest!!!

I love this stuff I put it on every day! Not a mark!! I had my baby 3 months ago!! Smells amazing too!!!

Feels amazing on the skin while protecting. & its safe!! Belli Has amazing products. I would say a must have for pregnancy.

Wow, so far this product is working! I am 33 weeks pregnant in my third tri-mester, have been using this product since week 15 day and night, and I have NO STRETCH MARKS... my mother had them very badly and is jealous and wishes this product was around when she was having babies. I am now running out and just bought another bottle. If I get one or two by the time its all over with, thats still great for me due to my family genetics. I also use the belli scrub and the lotion. I will be the belli cream for after "IF" I get any stretch marks after my pregnancy. Don't go cheap, buy this product to prevent them! Its worked on me so far... good luck!

Omega 3

I just bought Expecta to take in addition to my daily prenatal supplement.  From their website:

"Expecta LIPIL DHA Supplement is for pregnant and breastfeeding moms. DHA, an omega–3 fatty acid, is received by babies in utero and through breastmilk. It is found in high concentrations in the tissues of the brain and eye. This indicates that DHA supports the development of your baby’s brain and eyes."

You can get Omega 3 from seafood as well, but that is one of my food aversions right now.  Yuck!  Oh, and before pregnancy...I LOVED seafood.  Would eat if every day if I could.  Now, no way.  Not even chicken or meat.  Gross!

Belly Bands

I bought 3 of these this week. They're pretty cool. I won't have to use them yet, but I'm sure I will soon. I'll be able to wear my regular clothes a little longer now. :)

Our baby this week

Right now, our baby's heart is made up of two tiny channels called heart tubes — and they're already hard at work. When those tubes fuse together, our baby will have a fully functioning heart. Also in the works this week are several other organs, including the neural tube (the precursor to our baby's brain and spinal cord), which hasn't yet sealed, but by next week, it will be.

Our little embryo is already the size of an orange seed and looks like a tadpole, with a rudimentary head and a tail.  I got a little one swimmin in my belly :)

Week 5

I found this website, Pregnancy.org and it's pretty cool. It gives you actual photos of what your embryo looks like.

Week 5

So I think I'm in week 5 or coming into week 5. I'm not sure. I can't wait to get to the dr. to find out exactly what's going on and to find out exactly how far along I am. My sister-in-law conceived a week before me and her daughter was born on March 23rd. I conceived a week after her and my estimated due date online is March 19th. I've read that the online calculators are usually 2 weeks off. We'll see what the doctor says.

I haven't had morning sickness yet, but I get a little nauseated here and there throughout the day. I've started to eat right and I'm going to buy an elliptical machine for the house today so I can start a regular exercise regime. I'm trying to drink all of my water throughout the day, but it's a little tough. I've also started to lotion up my belly to avoid getting stretch marks. I am really really tired though. I don't know if it's the lack of caffeine or from the pregnancy. I guess it could be a combination of both. I've started drinking decaf which has 5mg of caffeine where as a regular cup of coffee has over 100mg.

Foods that are good for you during pregnancy

If you know of more, please post!

Olives  assist the health and function of the ovaries

Avocadoes, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female.  Today's research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this?  It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (mo dern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

Talk about heartburn

Ugg. I had vegetable chow fun last night and I got such heartburn. Is that gonna happen everytime I eat something now? That sucks. AND I'm so unbelievably tired. I went to bed at 10:30pm last night and couldn't get up at 5:30am. It doesn't help that our puppy had me up at 3:30am to take him out. I see what I have to look forward to already.

So it's official...

I'm prego.  :)  Woohoo!  I'm so excited.  I took another test this morning just to make sure and it came back positive.  My husband left today.  He'll be in in Texas for two months and then he's shipping off to Iraq for 9 months.  I'm hoping he can be here for the birth of our baby.  He's going to save his leave so he can do just that.

I guess I have some books to buy.  I'm going to buy "What to Expect When Expecting" and "What to Eat When Expecting".  I guess I'll run to the bookstore now.  I want to tell everyone so bad!  The only people that know so far are immediate family.  I think I want to wait unitl my first appointment which is Aug. 5th.  Another 4 weeks.  See, my problem is that I'm going to a party on the 26th of this month and then another party on Aug. 1st where my friends will be.  If they don't see me drinking, they're going start asking questions.  What to do.

Ovulation Kit

We used an ovulation kit to get pregnant.  I wasn't sure if it was really going to work, but I guess it did.  You can see by the picture that I ovulated on day 15 (day 1 being the first day of my period).

Pregancy Test

It's positive!  I took three tests yesterday and I took another one this morning just to make sure!

Pregnancy Diet

  • Stick to a diet naturally high in folic acid (oranges, melons and dark green vegetables).
  • Eat plenty of iron-rich foods (whole grains, beans, raisins and nuts).
  • Keep your blood sugar level elevated by eating lots of high-protein and high-carbohydrate foods such as breads, brown rice, potatoes and cheese.
  • Exercise, but moderately. Don't start a new exercise regimen when you're pregnant, and be careful not to become overheated for prolonged periods.

I'm Pregnant...at least I think I am...

So I was supposed to get my period today and I didn't. I didn't even get any spotting. Weird. So I stopped at Duane Reade this morning and picked up a Clearblue Easy Digital Pregnancy test. I got to work and waited a little bit till I had to pee. I went to the bathroom w/ the test and took it. Waited patiently for 3 minutes and then looked at the test...

Pregnant

OMG! Seriously? I was laughing and crying at the same time. I didn't think I would get a positive result. The box came with 3 tests so I'm going to take another one when I get home just to make sure. I didn't touch my cup of coffee. :)

I can't wait to get home to take the test and really make sure and then tell my hubby. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I just hope it wasn't a false positive. Those exist you know. I made an appointment for my first OB exam anyway. They won't see me until I'm 8 weeks along. Right now I'm about 3-4 weeks. So crazy. I can't believe it. My emotions are all over the place right now. I'm excited, scared, nervous. What's even more scary is that my husband is going to be in Iraq unitl next July. I just went to BabyCenter and they said my due date would be around March 19th, 2009. I'm hoping he can save his leave to be here for the delivery....IF I'M EVEN PREGNANT. I'll take the other test tonight to be 100% sure. Wow, I can't believe this is really happening.
